Use Auto
Auto is the initial speech-language choice. It lets processing infer the spoken language rather than requiring you to choose it beforehand. Speak clearly and review names or mixed-language phrases as you would with any transcription.
Set a preferred language
Open Speech Language in Intelligence settings and choose the language you intend to speak from the offered list. The list includes native language names. This preference helps processing; it is not a guarantee that every dialect or mixed-language phrase will be transcribed exactly.
Language, vocabulary, and tone
Speech Language, Dictionary, and tone are different controls. A dictionary entry can clarify a proper name. Tone changes writing style. Neither replaces choosing an appropriate input language or using a clear microphone.
If recognition is inconsistent
Test a short sentence, verify the selected microphone, remove background noise, and compare Auto with the relevant preferred language. Add recurring specialist terms to Dictionary. Keep a problematic example for support without including sensitive content.
