Hi Maya, the updated proposal is ready.

01

Complete the guided setup

The first-run guide introduces Oneslice, tone choices, microphone access, shortcuts, and a practice playground. Follow the displayed steps and finish the guide. The guide's character is an introduction; the everyday voice feature is called Assistant.

02

Try dictation

Dictation writes into the field you have focused. Start in a simple, editable text field before trying another app.

  1. Open Notepad and click inside the document.
  2. Start dictation with Ctrl + Space, or your configured dictation hotkey.
  3. Say: Hi Maya, the updated proposal is ready. New paragraph. Please review the timeline.
  4. Stop recording using the active recording mode and wait for the text to arrive.
03

Try Assistant

Assistant answers questions and can create supported items inside Oneslice. It is a different mode from dictation.

  1. Press Alt + V, or the Assistant hotkey shown in General settings.
  2. Ask: Set a timer for five minutes.
  3. Finish recording and read the response.
  4. Open Timer in the sidebar to use the timer's controls.
04

Choose comfortable controls

General settings lets you choose a microphone, change both voice hotkeys, change repaste, and choose tap-to-toggle or press-and-hold recording. Intelligence settings controls tone, language, formatting, and eligible context features. Verify the on-screen description of Hold to Record: its enabled state means tap-to-toggle in this build.
