From voice to structure
“Hello team. New paragraph. The review is complete.”

Hello team,

The review is complete.

Control map Settings → Intelligence → Auto Dictation Formatting. Illustrations explain the controls; your saved values may differ.
01

Give explicit formatting instructions

Say ‘new line’ for a line break, ‘new paragraph’ for a paragraph break, or ‘leave three lines’ for additional spacing. Keep the instruction distinct from the message. Explicit spoken formatting works even when Auto Dictation Formatting is off.

02

Enable automatic formatting

Open Settings → Intelligence and turn on Auto Dictation Formatting. Oneslice can structure suitable dictation without you specifying every break. Turn it off when you prefer fewer automatic structural choices; you can still ask for an explicit new paragraph.

03

Try a complete example

Say: ‘Hello team, new paragraph, the review is complete. New line, please send your feedback today.’ After processing, inspect the greeting, paragraph, and final line in the destination. Different editors can display spacing differently.

04

Rich text is a separate tool

A dictated line break is not the same as choosing a Scratchpad font, pen, or highlight. Scratchpad's toolbar controls its own rich text and drawings. Do not assume spoken formatting controls every menu or layout in an external editor.
