Repaste the last output
Alt + 5 is the initial Repaste / Review Last Interaction shortcut. If your latest interaction was dictation, focus an editable field and press and release the shortcut to type that dictation again. Check the previous destination first to avoid a duplicate. If the latest interaction was an Assistant answer, the shortcut reopens that answer notification instead; its quick-typing action becomes available again.
What repaste is for
The shortcut reviews the latest AI interaction, not a selectable clipboard history. A dictation result is retyped; an Assistant answer is shown again. If the last interaction was an action, such as creating a reminder or timer, or no interaction is available, the app reports ‘Nothing to repaste or review.’ It does not repeat the action or silently reuse an older answer.
Type Assistant Response
The response notification has a brief quick-typing opportunity: within two seconds, press the first key in your Assistant hotkey. With the default Alt + V, that is Alt. Focus the intended input and verify the inserted answer. This differs from the full shortcut that starts Assistant recording.
Change the repaste shortcut
Go to General, edit the Repaste hotkey, record a combination, and confirm. Use a combination that does not collide with a command in your editor. Hotkey capture temporarily suspends global shortcuts until you leave the capture dialog.
